Pinkle ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Pinkle mobile application ("App").
By using Pinkle, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

- Cycle data: Last period start date, cycle length, period length
- Daily logs: Mood scores, flow intensity, symptoms, notes
- Account information: Email address (if you create an account)
- App preferences: Language, notification settings, privacy settings

- Usage data: Feature interactions, crash reports (anonymous)
- Device information: OS version, device type (for compatibility only)

- We do not collect precise location data
- We do not build advertising profiles
- We do not sell personal data to third parties

4. Data Storage
Local storage: Most of your health data is stored locally on your device using SharedPreferences and is never transmitted to our servers without your explicit action.
Cloud storage (Supabase): If you create an account, your data is synced to our Supabase backend hosted in the EU (Frankfurt, Germany). Supabase is SOC 2 Type II certified.
AI Fortune: When you request an AI Fortune, the following minimal data is sent to Anthropic's API (via our Supabase Edge Function): your zodiac sign, current cycle phase, and optionally your mood score. No personally identifiable information is sent. See Anthropic's privacy policy.

6. Health Data
Pinkle handles sensitive health information (menstrual cycle data, symptoms, mood). We take this seriously:
- Health data is stored locally by default and is never shared with advertisers
- Cloud sync requires explicit account creation
- We do not sell health data under any circumstances
- Pinkle is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice
7. Children's Privacy
Pinkle is intended for users aged 12 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Delete your account and associated data
- Export your cycle and log data
- Withdraw consent for optional data processing (e.g., ads, AI fortune)
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

9. Data Retention
- Local device data: retained until you uninstall the app or clear app data
- Cloud account data: retained until you delete your account
- Crash/analytics data: retained for 90 days (anonymized)
10. International Transfers
If you are in the EU/EEA, your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside the EU. Where this occurs, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses).
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via in-app notification or email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
